The billionaire investor, George Soros has made a major comeback in politics after spending approximately $27 million in an attempt to defeat the then president, George W. Bush in 2004. He has re-emerged as a top boogeyman of conservatives and a major Democratic politics funder, giving more than $25 million to support Clinton’s campaign. Some of his associates said that he is likely to give more as the election nears. According to Forbes most recent estimates, George Soros has a net worth of $24.9 billion acquired through risky currency trades.

George Soros is a Hungarian-born New Yorker. He had scheduled to attend his first Democratic convention to witness Clinton take the Democratic presidential nomination. Clinton and Soros have a 25-year relationship.
