Marc Beer, a businessman and philanthropist is focused now on his new endeavor with Renovia Inc. The goal isn’t just marketing better, it is now streamlined for the purpose of furthering research in medicine for women’s health. Over the last 5 years there has been a growing interest in the research and study of pelvic floor disorders. After having closed in a few rounds of capital, the company is now in position to put more time and research into this area of interest. The study of pelvic floor disorders has opened up the opportunity for new advancements in medicine and alternative therapies.
Renovia Inc., known as a medtech company, has been working on the creation and development of the rapeutic products for this reason. These disorders affect nearly 260 million women around the world, and that number is likely to continue to grow unless advancements are made. The very first product known as Leva, received approval by the FDA back in April.
Although more funds are needed to further the development and creation of products and therapies for pelvic floor disorders, investing firms are now getting hit with questions about how investments can be made in companies like Renovia. The Longwood Fund, a healthcare-focused investment firm is a key player in this area financially. Two companies backing this fund include Ascension Ventures and Perceptive Advisors.
Although the Leva was designed, there are still further improvements that need to be made to the Leva before it can be put on the market. The ultimate end goal of Renovia Inc. is to improve the lives of women everywhere. Marc Beer, as the CEO is making great strides in continuing the effort to raise money more capital for the company. He believes that the best is yet to come for Renovia Inc., and all that has transpired so far for the company’s developments.
Marc Beer recently made statements in an interview regarding the support that they have gotten thus far from healthcare focused investors, and what the future holds for them. Driving greater knowledge in the area of pelvic floor disorders and related health problems is a great place for research to start. There is almost nothing worse than being told you have to work all weekend long.
Camilla Mendes is no stranger to this struggle in The Chainsmokers’ new music video for “Side Effects”. Mendes is best known for her role as Veronica Lodge on the hit T.V series Riverdale, but turns in her pearls for a name tag in this upbeat video.
The video begins with a bored-looking hotel employee, portrayed by Mendes, answering a call from her boss who then tells her that she will have to work through the weekend. Mendes hangs up the phone, and in an act of rebellion, tears off her uniform. She then proceeds to dance her way around the hotel through neon lights, balloons, and fireworks, and past one less-than-thrilled security guard, before finally jumping into the pool. All of this is done to the beat of this catchy tune by The Chainsmokers, featuring the voice of Emily Warren.
The Chainsmokers achieved popularity in 2014 with their single “#Selfie”, and in 2015 their EP Bouquet was released. The following year, they topped US and UK charts with their anthem “Closer” which featured vocalist Halsey.”Closer” remained number one on the charts for twelve consecutive weeks on the list of Billboard’s Hot 100. In August 2017, the EDM duo came in third on the list of Forbes’ World’s Highest Paid DJs, after earning $38 million in the previous 12 months. “Side Effects” was released as a single on July, 27 2018. Singer and Songwriter Emily Warren has collaborated with The Chainsmokers several times since 2015 when her vocals were featured in the song “Until You Were Gone”.
The Chainsmokers are currently in the middle of a three year Las Vegas Residency where they can be seen performing live at XS Nightclub.
Have you ever met someone that you thought was your sole mate and formed a close connection to them? For Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, this is a close connection that the two of them shared with one another. Andrew knew that the moment that he met Alex, that the pair of them would become life long friends. It was such a connection between the two of them that Andrew dropped everything that he was doing only to move to New York City and continue the Chainsmokers with Alex Pall upon the departure of the orginal bandmate.
If you come across sour lemons, the best use for them is to make lemonade. For the Chainsmokers band, this is just what they did. When the former bandmate left the band, Alex Pall was still looking for someone to take his place. While on the search, Andrew Taggart heard about the opening from a friend and was told to check it out. Upon heading to New York City, Andrew found that the band was just what he was looking for. He decided it was time for him to do something more with what he loved and dropped out of school to return back to NYC to become the other half of the band.
If there is one thing that artists know about, it is that you have to be willing to put forth an effort to make sweet music with other artists. For the Chainsmokers, they knew that this was going to be something that they have had to get over. For them, the easy choice was determining who was going to do it. That is where Halsey comes into play. For the release of Closer, the band worked with Halsey to release the single. The only thing they didn’t know about what was quickly things would start working out for the pair. Upon creating the Closer song, the men found a new passion for music and changed the way that they operate under music. Before long, the Chainsmokers had found what they needed in order to be able to walk away and create a whole new style of music that they had yet to discover before working with Haley.
